Our vision is to be recognized as the organization that assists Forsyth County residents in enhancing their local community parks
Our Focus
The Forsyth County Parks Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 non profit organization is a group of community members who believe that parks and recreation are of vital importance to our community.
The Foundation creates partnerships, facilitates grants and raises funds to support parks and recreation programs and facilities.
What We Do!
- Sell Commemorative Benches to raise funds for park projects
- Park improvements and beautification projects - 2026 focus was improving access for all persons. By purchase an All Terrain Track Chair a pilot program to assist children and adults with mobility challenges starts this September at Sawnee Mountain Preserve
- Matching grants for needed enchancements - for local park groups like the FC Disc Golf Club, Eagle Scout Candidates, etc.
- Acquired grants and raised funds to donate a Mobile Inflatable Planetarium Dome to Sawnee Mountain Preserve for educational purposes for kids and students
- Raise Funds to Award Annual Scholarships to Underserved Children in our community allowing them to attend FC Parks & Recreation Programs
